Terms of use

The agreement between you and PadCanvas: your plan, the free trial, cancelling and refunds.

1. Who we are

PadCanvas is made by Ibrahim Sowunmi, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Email: . “We” and “us” mean Ibrahim Sowunmi. “You” means the person using PadCanvas.

2. What PadCanvas is

PadCanvas for Mac lets you draw on your Mac’s screen from an iPhone, iPad or browser. PadCanvas for iPhone and iPad is a free app that works with PadCanvas for Mac. These terms cover PadCanvas for Mac, your PadCanvas account and padcanvas.app. Apple’s terms also apply to PadCanvas for iPhone and iPad.

3. Your account

You sign in with a Google account. Keep your Google account secure. You’re responsible for what happens under your PadCanvas account.

Anyone can use PadCanvas. To buy a plan you must be 18 or over. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must buy the plan and agree to these terms for you.

4. Free trial

New accounts can start one 7-day free trial. You add a card to start it, and nothing is charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your plan starts automatically at the end of day 7 and we charge the price shown at checkout, currently £4.99 a year. We’re not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. One trial per person.

5. Your plan and automatic renewal

Your plan renews automatically every year until you cancel. We charge your card on each renewal date through Stripe, our payment provider. If the price changes, we’ll email you at least 30 days before the renewal it affects, and you can cancel before then.

6. One plan, one Mac

One plan covers one Mac and every iPhone, iPad or browser you connect to it. PadCanvas for iPhone and iPad is coming to the UK App Store first. Elsewhere, draw from Chrome or Edge on an Android phone or tablet, or a computer, on the same Wi‑Fi.

7. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time in PadCanvas on your Mac (Account, then Manage billing) or by emailing . If you cancel during the trial, you pay nothing. If you cancel after a payment, your plan continues until the end of the year you’ve paid for and doesn’t renew.

8. Refunds and your statutory rights

If you’re charged and change your mind, including when your trial turns into a paid plan or your plan renews, email us within 14 days of the charge and we’ll refund it in full.

If PadCanvas doesn’t work as described, tell us and we’ll try to fix it. If we can’t, you may be entitled to a refund. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

9. Lifetime licences and earlier purchases

If you bought a lifetime licence or a one-time purchase before October 2026, or we gave you a lifetime licence, it gives you access to PadCanvas for Mac on one Mac, on the account that holds it, for as long as we offer PadCanvas for Mac. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product, not of a person. If we stop offering PadCanvas for Mac, section 11 applies.

10. Internet checks and offline use

PadCanvas for Mac checks your plan online. After a successful check, you can keep drawing offline for up to two hours, or until your trial or plan ends if that’s sooner. After that, connect your Mac to the internet to keep drawing. Your iPhone, iPad or browser connects to your Mac directly over USB, Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth, without the internet.

11. Service availability and changes

We work to keep sign-in and plan checks running, but we can’t promise they’ll never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or a provider outage. We may update PadCanvas to improve it or fix problems. If we stop offering PadCanvas for Mac, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email and refund any unused part of a paid annual plan.

12. Using PadCanvas fairly

Only draw on, share or record screens you’re allowed to. Don’t use PadCanvas to break the law or harm others. Don’t try to get round plan checks or licence limits, or reverse-engineer the account service. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. If we do, we’ll tell you why, unless the law stops us.

13. Your content

Your drawings, images and screen content stay on your Mac and the devices you connect. We don’t receive them. The privacy notice explains what we do collect.

14. Our responsibility to you

We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that’s a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We aren’t responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable. If you use PadCanvas for work, we aren’t responsible for lost profits, revenue, business or opportunities. We don’t exclude liability where it would be unlawful to, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

15. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update this page. For changes that matter, we’ll email you before they apply to your plan.

16. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
